PASTA NIGHT FOR THE NEELY HOUSE

The Cam Neely Foundation is winning a new ally in its efforts to raise funds for the Neely House. The Belpasta Corp. of Boston, a manual pasta machine manufacturer, is organizing a fundraiser night to benefit the Neely house.

The theme of the event, is "An Evening of Pasta Sensations for the Neely Foundation featuring Boston's Best Pasta Chefs.." where the attendants will enjoy a dinner with wine, a variety of Pasta dishes (prepared by different restaurants of the Boston area), music, and of course, the presence of Cam Neely. Also, each person attending will receive the gift of a Deluxe Pasta Machine, to enjoy making their own pasta at home! The event will take place Wednesday, May 21st at 58, Commonwealth Avenue. About 80 to 100 people are expected to attend starting 6:30 pm. The proceeeds will benefit the Neely House, the first of its kind in Boston to offer support to families of both adult and child cancer patients. Due to open in July 1997, the Neely House will include eight, self contained apatments with kitchenettes and all the conforts of home. To make it easier for families to get acquainted, there will be a common living room, playroom, kitchen and a meditation room. The Neely house will be more than housing. Support services ranging from a sympathetic ear to strategies for coping with stress or more intensive social service assistance will be available. The Neely House, dedicated in the memory of Marlene and Michael Neely, is located in the Farnsworth Building at 171 Harrison avenue.
